There is no doubt that it is a major advantage to be a black conservative in politics, business, talk radio and a number of other professions. White people have come to open themselves up to black success, black intelligence, and black congeniality. Observing America and the world in 2006-07, it would be Pollyannaish to say that racial prejudice was defeated, any more than terrorism or drugs have been defeated. But the world is a vastly different place today, and if one studies the subject hard enough, they might not find any place like the American South in the 37 years that span 1970 to 2007. Southern sportswriters have there take on the evernt, whether it be Allen Barra, Keith Dunnavant, or the Birmingham Post-Herald's Bill Lumpkin, who in response to recent books and movies depicting the event wrote, "I'm sure the abundance of Alabama fans in the Legion Field crowd of 72,157 left the game that night saying to themselves: We've got to have a Sam Cunningham.

Q. Haven't lost a touch of it?
DANIEL CHOPRA: No, just like that. It's funny, when I was playing the European Tour, and even out here we'd play a practice round with Arjun (Atwal) or Jeev (Milka Singh) and we'll have a Swedish guy playing in the same group or whatever, and I'll speak Swedish to him and Indian to him and English to my caddie.
K.J. gets overlooked, but shouldn't
He is a solid 2-hole hitter and if that OBP is up, Tex and Chipper should have a field day with those guys on base a lot. As for the Tex trade rumors, I don't understand because a lot of fans have conceded him leaving because of Boras. I think that him staying will depend on how well the team does and how welcome he is made to feel in Atlanta. Boras is the reason there is no loyalty in baseball anymore, and I hope Tex is the guy that finds the happy medium of making a lot of money and being somewhere he can win. Need to lock Francoeur up with an extension. Should look into Blanton, he could be had with a prospect and a major leaguer. Benson is also a possibility that would not only bring a solid number 4 guy, but would also keep him out of Philly. This looks like a solid club and I'm excited to see how it goes.

STOP McCAIN IN FLORIDA
To the extent that I understand how most Republicans think, it would seem that former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani comes closer to the Republican ideal than any of the other viable Republican candidates. They are all good and decent men who would be better for America than either of the Democratic front-runners. But it is difficult to see, from a conservative- and Republican-values perspective, what major shortcoming Giuliani brings as compared to the other candidates. And given the obsession of liberal news media with publishing negative reports about Giuliani and frequent praise of John McCain, it would appear that it is Giuliani whom Democrats most fear as the Republican presidential nominee. On the "war on terror," no Republican contender but John McCain equals Giuliani in longtime efforts on behalf of that war or in understanding and articulating the threat radical Islam poses to America and to liberty on earth.
